Logion 24: His disciples said to him, “Show us the place where you are, since it is necessary for us to seek it”. He said to them, “Whoever has ears, let him hear. There is light within a man of light, and he lights up the whole world. If he does not shine, he is darkness”.

Noa:
- the place where Jesus is = kenosis = unity = full personhood = enlightenment
- The whoever has ears part = this is a message for everyone, everyone!
- Man of light = the person who is ready for the unity message maybe. It could be about all men but not all men are ready to be light, they are not ready for the work of kenosis. So, maybe he is saying all hear this message but only some will be ready to understand it.

Doug: Yes! Great reflection, Noa.
“Show us the place where you are, since it is necessary for us to seek it,” seems to me much less a “location” but rather a condition. It’s kind of like the concept of heaven and hell. John Paul II, the Catholic Pope who died in 2005, shocked many conservatives when he said that heaven and hell are not places but conditions of the soul. For most of Christian history, the human imagination put heaven as a “place” upstairs and hell as down below. Yet, mystical Christianity has always seen that heaven and hell are dualistic descriptions–albeit highly inadequate–to explain our levels of conscious awareness. Moreover, heaven and hell do not begin after our death but rather right here, right now. As Richard Rohr is fond of saying, “It’s heaven all the way to heaven and hell all the way to hell.”
But if we want to run with the analogy as it is given, we could also say where Jesus stands is “located” in the nondual end of the consciousness spectrum. This ‘”location-condition” is of total wholeness, singleness, oneness; integrated and full of integrity. One who is thus enlightened is experiencing heaven and in fact, IS heaven because they are in active union with the Divine One. To be in union is to enjoy heaven.
Jesus taught a path of transformation that was geared towards awakening people to the fire of love and unitive consciousness. This wholehearted living produces a very perceivable light for those whose lenses of perception cleared enough to perceive it. The light that shines and perceived is the luminosity of wholeness and this person is, as the Ra group explains, a crystallized healer who is an undistorted and immediate channel for carrying out the will of the Logos. All humans are made of light since we are God-made-manifested here in third density. And all manifested things are some form of congealed light. But not all shine with the inner light of love, that indwelling Christ-Consciousness.
To be a beacon of the Holy Spirit, our “yes” is required to allow the indwelling to occur. We need to want union. Those who close the heart and deliberately choose the path of separation, or disintegration, of the perversion of natural law, enjoy the darkness. As the Ra group says, their delight is “pain, difficulty, sufferings of others, and the examination of the perversities of nature” (19.17). They become like black holes that suck the light from the creation around them.
It is our choice which path to choose and both are the Creator experiencing Itself. Yet, for those who follow Jesus, the path is full of light, love, companionship, wholeness, and making the world holy (whole) through the ethos of kenosis or self-emptying (kenosis).
To give is to receive, to lose ourselves is to find ourselves, to die is to live, to surrender is to find victory, to become vulnerable is to live courageously.
The paradoxes are resolved when we live out the path of self-emptying.
