Building 4th Community

Roots and Vision

Building 4th was founded in February 2020 in order to create a safe community where members could share insights, ask questions, study the Law of One material and other inspirational sources, and provide mutual support for learning how to live and embody this cosmic law of union and unity. Over time, the community has slowly grown and has evolved according to the inspiration of the community members and the guiding light of the Infinite Creator’s love.

We believe that unity is diversity created and maintained by love. The diverse nature of our membership is, therefore, an asset. One primary uniting factor of Building 4th  is that each member strives for honest, self-aware, and loving communication. To this end, we ask ourselves:

→How can we view everyone and everything through a lens of compassion and as holistically as possible?

→How can we serve others by becoming clearer, more dependable channels of the Creator’s love and joy?

Our Name

The longer version of our community’s name is, “Building 4th: Living the Law of One,” because we seek to build greater activation of our fourth (heart) chakras, to build Earth’s fourth-density energetic conditions, and to affirm our diverse spiritual paths–in other words, to encourage one another to build forth!

Basic Philosophy that Shapes Our Community’s Culture

We seek to learn in order to serve: We affirm that whenever we study the Law of One or other spiritual material, whether on our own or as a group, this is for the purpose of crystallizing our spiritual principles and learning how to embody them.

The mundane is sacred: We affirm that there is no separation between the ordinary world and divinity. For example, doing dishes is an act of the Creator knowing Itself and can be supremely sacred.

Love is our metric: We affirm that any teaching or belief, whether conventional or esoteric, is valued by how well it helps us love and understand ourselves and others, including those others whom we perceive to be different or even antagonistic.

The way down is the way up: We affirm that our ordinary lives are rich in opportunities to grow spiritually. We try to bring our full presence and open heart to each moment, even–and especially–the difficult ones. We are learning that there is no escaping the conditions that foster our personal growth and therefore our goal is to embrace each challenge wherever we discern that it is safe and appropriate to do so. And even in dangerous, unsafe situations, we want to hold the assurance that the creator’s love is with us and we are immortal spiritual beings. In short, the ascension process is not a journey up and out of this difficult third-density illusion, but rather a movement down and into it more.

The importance of humility: Ra suggests that to become the creator, “[…]renders one the most humble servant of all, transparent in personality and able to know and accept others.” We trust that our understanding is ever evolving, thus we try to hold our own views and various identities with humility. We acknowledge that admitting we don’t know fully requires some level of vulnerability and this can be uncomfortable.

Our Building 4th Weekly Schedule:

The program follows a five-week cycle of Tuesday meetings:

Week 1: Ra Contact Night

  • Focus on the “Ra Material” or “Ra Contact”
  • Presenter shares metaphysical content from Ra materials
  • Material has been studied by the group for many years

Week 2: Sharing Catalysts and Prayer Intentions

  • Usually led by Barbara
  • Members share “catalysts” – experiences that promote growth
  • Catalysts are neither positive nor negative but help with polarization toward wholeness
  • Members can share prayer intentions for themselves or others
  • Includes a minute or two of silent prayer/blessing
  • Helps build community connection

Week 3: Lectio Divina (Led by Troy)

  • Features three or more thematic readings
  • Follows the four traditional stages of Lectio Divina:
  1. Lectio (Reading): Slow, attentive reading of a sacred text
  2. Meditatio (Meditation): Reflecting on the text, pondering its meaning
  3. Oratio (Prayer): Responding to the text through prayer, expressing reactions
  4. Contemplatio (Contemplation): Resting in stillness, opening to deeper awareness
  • This ancient monastic practice is efficacious because it cultivates deep listening and receptivity to spiritual insight
  • The practice creates space for transformation beyond intellectual understanding
  • Integrates mind, heart, and spirit in a unified approach to sacred texts
  • 40 minutes of practice followed by 20 minutes of community conversation
  • Discussion about what was meaningful during the session

Week 4: Dream Analysis Night

  • Led by Troy Caldwell, a retired psychiatrist with extensive Jungian training
  • Doug assists, bringing insights from years of learning from Troy
  • Combines Jungian psychology with the Ra Contact’s perspectives on dreams

Jungian Dream Interpretation Insights

  1. Archetypal Symbols: Dreams contain universal symbols (the Shadow, the Wise Old Man/Woman, the Hero) that represent fundamental aspects of human experience across cultures and time periods
  2. Individuation Process: Dreams serve as a map for the journey toward psychological wholeness, revealing aspects of the self that need integration
  3. Anima and Animus: Dreams feature contrasexual inner figures (anima in men, animus in women) that represent the unconscious feminine or masculine aspects requiring recognition and integration
  4. Compensatory Function: Dreams often present views that compensate for conscious attitudes, revealing blind spots and helping to balance one-sided perspectives

Ra Contact Insights on Dreams

  • Dreams function as a communication tool between the unconscious and conscious mind
  • Dreams can be used for spiritual service when properly understood and interpreted
  • Higher self may communicate through the dream state, offering guidance for one’s spiritual journey
  • Dreams can access parallel realities and metaphysical information not available to the waking consciousness
  • Dream symbols are personalized to the individual’s own symbolic vocabulary
  • Group dreamwork can strengthen the collective spiritual seeking of a community

Week 5: Member Presentation or Open Dialogue Night

  • Members may give formal presentations with slides
  • Can also be an open dialogue on specific topics
  • The upcoming meeting will focus on the group’s experience transitioning into “fourth density”

The metaphysical background includes the belief that Earth has shifted into a “fourth density” energy space but is not yet fully a fourth density planet because humanity’s collective consciousness isn’t unified. The group sees their vocation as bringing wholeness and love into an “ethos of separation,” working in solidarity with each other during this transitional period.
